In the offseason when you are resigning free agents, there is a veryeffective way of saving lots of money for free agency without beingcheap and changing stats. Instead of lowering and raising stats, just goto "View Roster" and convert all of your starters and closers intorelievers. Resign all of them to small deals worth at most about $3million a year. Once you sign them, change them back into their originalposition. It might not sound like much but if you have a $19 millionpitcher like Johan Santana, it can be a lot of free cash. This will alsowork with turning slow players into the 2B or SS position and resigningthem, or turning small players into the C or 1B position and resigningthem.
